The College Club

Scholarship Fund

The College Club Scholarship Fund was established in 1985 to provide scholarships to Boston Public High School seniors to assist them with the financing of a college education.

Since 1986, the College Club Scholarship Fund, Inc. has provided scholarships to over 200 graduating Boston Public School seniors to assist them in paying their college expenses.

In the Spring of 1986 the fund awarded a modest grant of $500 to one Boston Public High School senior. Since then, the number and amounts have increased.

To be eligible for the awards, students must be seniors in Boston’s public high schools (including charter schools,) and admitted to accredited, not-for-profit colleges or universities (including junior colleges, community colleges, and conservatories).

Students must demonstrate scholastic ability, financial need, and participation in school and community affairs.

Selection is based on a personal statement, grades, financial need, participation in school activities, letters of recommendation and a personal interview.
