The College Club of Boston
2017 Scholarship Award

Description

Since 1985, The College Club Scholarship Fund has provided grants to more than 200 graduating Boston Public High School seniors toward the cost of their college education, and we continue that tradition this year. The number and value of awards vary by the degree of funding we raise, and we now focus on awarding multi-year grants. Our grants are sent directly to the colleges the students attend.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the awards, students must be seniors in Boston’s public high schools (including charter schools,) and admitted to accredited, not-for-profit colleges or universities (including junior colleges, community colleges, and conservatories). Students must demonstrate scholastic ability, financial need, and participation in school and community affairs. The application is available for download on the website listed below.

Criteria

Selection is based on a personal statement, grades, financial need, participation in school activities, and letters of recommendation from a teacher and an employer and/or an adult in the applicant’s community. Finalists will also engage in a personal interview.
