Dear Members and Friends,

For 30 years, The College Club of Boston Scholarship Fund, Inc. (CCSF) has provided important scholarship assistance to Boston public high school students in need of financial support.  Boston high schools are full of smart, hard-working young men and women without the financial means to attend college.  You can help make their dreams come true.

Since 1986, the CCSF has provided assistance to more than 200 graduating seniors recommended by their school counselors. These are young people who have dedicated themselves to the pursuit of a degree. Among last year's applicants, one young woman, age 17, was supporting herself at the same time as she was earning honor grades as a senior.  If you have attended a CCSF awards event in the past then you have had the chance to meet some of the recipients, and I am sure you have been as impressed by them as I have.  With your help, we can continue our 30-year tradition and you can be part of this very personal and heartfelt process.

We are asking every College Club member to donate whatever amount she or he can afford to help us carry forward our Scholarship program. You can increase the impact of your donation by asking your employer or organization to match your gift, thereby doubling the amount of your contribution.  Some members have included us in their estate planning, and for this we are appreciative.  If you are interested in knowing more about this, please speak with a member of the Fund, or write to us at ccscholarfund@gmail.com.

All donations to our 501(c) 3 qualified corporation are tax-deductible. Please make your check payable to The College Club Scholarship Fund and mail it in the enclosed envelope, or deliver it to the Club office during business hours.  If you prefer to donate via credit card, please visit the Club website and click on the Scholarship Fund tab at the top of the page. In accordance with tax law, tax-deductible donations cannot be charged to your Club house account.

On behalf of all the CCSF volunteers and award recipients, thank you for considering a donation to this very worthwhile and impactful scholarship fund.  We wish you a happy and healthy holiday season and all the best in 2017!

Best regards,

Debra J. Chromy, Ed.D.
